Get Your Flicks at Route 66

The Route 66 Film Festival, in partnership with the International Route 66 Mother Road Festival, is hosting GET YOUR FLICKS AT ROUTE 66 on Saturday, September 23, from 10am-7pm, in conjunction with the 23rd annual Route 66 car show. Over 60,000 people are expected to assemble in Springfield IL for this amazing event. 

Free to the public, family friendly short and feature length films will be shown in the LRS (main) theatre of the Hoogland Center for the Arts. Independent films from throughout the world will be featured, along with a special showing of the Disney-Pixar animated movie, CARS. 

In addition to the films, other activities will be offered:

• Movie themed cosplayers
• Red carpet photo area
• Route 66 Exhibition in the H. D. Smithy Gallery:
  • Paintings displayed by the Sangamon Watercolor Society
  • Route 66 artifacts/props/displays
  • Route 66 vendors
• Networking opportunities with filmmakers / film organizations
• Merchandise and concessions
